Toronto Eaton Centre’s Sesame Street Giveaway
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS
Open to residents of Ontario ONLY

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY: the “Toronto
Eaton Centre Sesame Street” giveaway (the “Contest”) is sponsored by The
Cadillac Fairview Corporation Limited - Toronto Eaton Centre (“the Sponsor”).
The Contest runs between Tuesday, April 24th and Sunday April 29th (the “
Contest period”).
1.
ELIGIBILITY: To enter and to be eligible
to win, a person must be a resident of Ontario at the time of entry, who is 18
years of age or older at the time of entry and who is not an employee of the
Sponsor, its affiliated companies or agents, its respective advertising or
promotional agencies or the independent contest organization or a member of any
such employee’s immediate family (regardless of where they live) or persons
with whom they are domiciled (whether related to the employee or not). In these
Official Rules, “immediate family” includes mother, father, brothers, sisters,
sons, daughters, partners or spouse.
2.
HOW TO ENTER THE CONTEST: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter the Contest, the
entrant must be a registered member of Facebook’s website and be in
compliance with Facebook terms and Conditions for valid entry.
On contest dates running between Tuesday, April 24th and Sunday April 29th in order to be entered
for a chance to win, entrants will have to correctly identify at least one of
the Sesame Street characters posted on Toronto Eaton Centre’s Facebook page by
filling out a ballot at the Toronto Eaton Centre Guest Services desk, then correctly
answer a mathematical skill testing question for a chance to win.
Between Tuesday, April 24th
and Sunday April 29th Fans of Toronto Eaton Centre’s Facebook page are
encouraged to come to the Guest Services Booth on Level 2 at Toronto Eaton
Centre and fill out a ballot correctly identifying the Sesame Street character
that was posted on the TEC Facebook page that day. Participants are invited to
recruit friends, family and everyone they know to “Like” Toronto Eaton Centre, and participate in
the giveaway.
Entrants must enter the promotion by signing a ballot at the Guest
Services booth. By entering the contest you confirm you are 18 years of age or
older, that you are a resident of Ontario and that you have read and agree to
the Official Contest Rules and Regulations and Cadillac Fairview’s Privacy
Policy.
Internet access and a valid Facebook account are necessary in order
to participate. If you do not have access to the Internet and wish to
participate, your local library or internet café may be able to provide access
to the Internet. To be eligible, Entries must be received during the Contest
Period.
All Entries are subject to verification. The Sponsor reserves the
right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identify and/or
eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor – including, without limitation,
government issued photo identification) to enter this Contest. Failure to
provide such proof in a timely manner may result in disqualification. The sole
determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid Entry in this Contest will
be the Contest server machine(s).
To enter the Contest, the entrant must be a registered member of Facebook
website and be in compliance with Facebook terms and Conditions for valid
entry.
3.
PRIZE:
On April 30th 2012, There will be one winner selected to receive one
(1) package of five (5) Sesame Street Live tickets (the “Grand Prize) .
Winner(s) will be emailed to arrange collection of prize. Winner
must respond to the sponsor within three-days to confirm receipt and accept the
prize.
The prizes must be accepted as awarded without substitution and are
not transferable. The Sponsor reserves the right in the event that the prize or
component of the prize of equal or greater value, without liability.
4.
WINNER SELECTION:
On Monday April 30th at approximately 10:00AM in Toronto,
ON a winner will be randomly selected from the number of entrants.
The selected entrant will be contacted through email. The selected entrant will have three (3)
business days to respond to the email. If
the selected entrant (a) does not respond within three (3) business days, or (b)
does not collect the prize within then he/she will be disqualified. The Sponsor will not be responsible for failed
attempts to contact a selected entrant. To be declared a prize winner each
entrant must correctly answer a mathematical skill testing question. If the
entrant fails to correctly answer the question he/ she will be disqualified.
5.
AWARD OF THE GRAND PRIZE: To be declared
the Grand Prize Winner, entrants must have correctly identified at least one of
the images posted on the TEC Facebook page.
6.
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or
administered by, or associated with Facebook.
Entrants are providing their information to Toronto Eaton Centre and not
to Facebook. The information provided
will only be used in determining the contest winner. All personal data
collected are for the purpose of administering this Contest. No further
informational or marketing communications will be received by entrants unless
entrants provide the Contest Sponsors with explicit permission to do so.
7.
GENERAL: By entering the Contest,
entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the
independent contest organization with respect to all aspects of the Contest,
which decisions are final.
8.
The Sponsor and the independent
contest organization accept no responsibility for loss, damage or claims caused
by or resulting from the Contest or acceptance of the prize or the Grand Prize.
The Sponsor will not be responsible for late, lost illegible, incomplete,
falsified or destroyed entries and all such entries are void. Entries that have
been falsified tampered with or altered are void. The Sponsor and the
independent contest organization will not be liable for any failure of the
contest website, incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information,
technical malfunctions, human or technical error, printing errors, lost,
delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion,
defect or failures of any telephone or computer lines or networks, computer
equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry material/data that have been
tampered with or altered are void. In the event it is determined that an
entrant has entered in a fashion not sanctioned by these rules and/or has
submitted more than the number of entries permitted by these rules, the entrant
will be disqualified and all other entries submitted by the entrant will be
disqualified. The use of an invalid email address and users spamming the same
email address will disqualify the entry. In the event of a dispute, entries
will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the
email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is
defined as the person who is assigned an email address by an internet provider,
online service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational
institute, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the
domain associated with the submitted email address. If the identity of an
entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder associated with the email
account at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. A selected
entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account
holder of the email address associated with the selected entry. The sole
determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid entry in this contest will
be the contest server machine(s).
9.
The Sponsor reserves the right,
to terminate or amend this Contest at any time and in any way, without prior
notice. Without limiting the foregoing, if, for any reason, the Contest is not
capable of running as originally planned, such as tampering, the Sponsor
reserves the right, to cancel the Contest and conduct the draw from all
previously received eligible entries received by the end of the Contest Period.
The Sponsor and the independent contest organization shall not be held
responsible for any problems, errors or negligence that may arise or occur in
connection with the Contest.
10.
All entries become the
permanent property of the Sponsor and none will be returned. No correspondence
will be entered into, except with the selected entrants. The Contest is subject
to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.
11.
The Sponsor respects your right
to privacy. Personal information collected from entrants will only be used by
the Sponsor to administer the Contest and fulfill any prize requirements and,
only if consent is given at the time of entry, to provide the entrants with
information regarding upcoming promotions and/or events from the Sponsor. For

personal information by the Sponsor, please refer to the Sponsor’s Privacy
Policy.
