Nuit Blanche is a free city wide celebration of contemporary art taking place from sunset (6:59 pm) on Saturday, October 1st to sunrise (7:00am) on Sunday, October 2nd. This festival encourages the public to explore the unique side of Toronto through public art commissions, all night exhibitions, live performances and creative art programs featured throughout the city.
Toronto Eaton Centre is proud to host not one but three separate Nuit Blanche Art installations this year. These include:
An Interactive Robotics Installation; “Paparazzi Bots” by artist Ken Rinaldo, which will be located in both Gap Court, and Trinity Way.
A Conceptual Light Installation; “Public Preposition” by Mischa Kuball which will transform the 250 Yonge Office tower into a light-activated performance work
Finally the Toronto Eaton Centre commissioned Slipstream by United Visual Artists will be a permanent installation in our galleria, unveiled on October 1st.
Toronto Eaton Centre is pleased to be a major zone sponsor of Nuit Blanche, which drew over a million people to the city in 2010.
